World Girls Stun Determine Girls FC to Reach Orange Cup Semi-Finals

World Girls shocked defending Orange Cup champions Determine Girls FC with a 1–0 victory on Friday at Tusa Field in Gardnersville Township to secure a place in the semi-finals.
Both teams created several chances throughout the match but struggled to convert their opportunities,
Showcasing high level competiveness and individual brilliance.
Determine Girls Gambian striker Catherine Jatta nearly opened the scoring in the 25th minute, but her effort was brilliantly saved by World Girls Ghanaian goalkeeper Amina Alhamadu.
There was nothing to separate the two sides as they headed into the halftime break goalless.

The decisive moment came in the 66th minute when Wonder H. Juery found the back of the net, delivering a crucial strike that dashed the defending champions’ hopes of completing a domestic double this season despite currently sitting at the top of the Upper Women’s League.
World Girls had even more reason to celebrate as they ended Determine Girls remarkable unbeaten run of one year and six months in Liberian women’s football.
World Girls will now face Senior Female PRO in the Orange Cup semi-finals, while Determine Girls shift their focus back to the Upper Women’s League, where they sit one point clear of second-place Shaita Angels.
