-LNP Region 5 Chief Urges Females

AS LNP’s recruitment process gain momentum in the southeast, the Regional Chief of Police for Region Five, Col. Moses Sepoh II, is encouraging more women in Maryland County to join the Liberia National Police, as the LNP prepares to commence its nationwide recruitment drive.

Col. Sepoh said the upcoming recruitment exercise is a golden opportunity for qualified Marylanders to serve their country, adding that the LNP is particularly keen on increasing female representation within the force.

He made the call ahead of the Region Five recruitment exercise, which covers Grand Kru, Grand Gedeh, Sinoe, Maryland and River Gee Counties, scheduled for October 26 to November 8, 2026.

According to the Region Five Police Commander, the recruitment is open to all qualified Liberian citizens between the ages of 18 and 35. Applicants must be Liberian, have no criminal record, and must not be affiliated with any political party.

On documentation, Col. Sepoh outlined that interested applicants must present their high school diploma with WAEC/WASSCE certificate or a higher academic credential, along with four passport-size photos.

He further stated that each applicant must provide three recommendation letters – one from the administration of the high school or university attended, one from a community leader, and one from a religious leader.

Additionally, applicants are required to present a national ID card, birth certificate, passport, or voter ID card. A police clearance will be required where applicable, and a medical report from a recognized health facility must be submitted before admission to the Police Academy.

Col. Sepoh emphasized that the recruitment will be conducted in a transparent, fair and impartial manner, stressing that every qualified applicant will be given equal opportunity without discrimination or favoritism.

He at the same time warned officers assigned to the recruitment team to avoid any act of misconduct, noting that anyone caught engaging in irregularities will face disciplinary action.

He urged any applicant who experiences unfair treatment or observes discrepancies during the process to report immediately to the appropriate authorities for prompt action.

Col. Sepoh concluded by calling on all qualified Marylanders, especially women, to take advantage of the process and apply to serve Liberia through the Liberia National Police.
