ARRESTING CHINESE MUST BE HANDLED WITH MAGNANIMITY
The Republic of Liberia and the People’s Republic of China have actively expanded their bilateral relationship through multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and cooperation agreements targeting agriculture, maritime transport, infrastructure, and tourism. These frameworks are designed to accelerate economic growth and improve food security.
Under this arrangement, the Chinese have committed their both financial and technical readiness to provide full support in infrastructure development, while Liberia waves her mining sector to the Chinese, the agreement that must be upheld and respected, the government need to be meticulous in the protection of the natural resources.
To my almost surprise, state sucurity were seen on videos photage parading Chinese in the mud as though they have committed heinous crime on the order of the Ministry of Mine.
The question is what went wrong for which the Chinese were arrested?
Liberia provides China with political backing, diplomatic support, and access to vital economic sector. most notably through the One China Policy and significant natural resource agreements.

I am wondering if arresting the Chinese and treating them like a common criminals will not undermine the spirit of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two nations.
China and Liberia have shown and demonstrated admirable diplomatic engagement that is responsive.
The issue of arresting Chinese must be handled with care because in exchange for these contributions, Liberia receives critical development assistance, including Maritime Cooperation, where Liberia supports China in global maritime transportation and shipping governance.

Chinese have shown commitment and maximum support for Liberia in every effort of recovery alone the way.
Their citizens must be respected even if they abrogate the laws, they must be handled with certain level of respect and caution.
