Dr. J. Aaron Wright Sr., Acting Executive Director of the National Commission of Disabilities (NCD), has shared some initiatives undertaken for people living with disabilities in Liberia.
Dr. Wright stated that NCD has represented the government of Liberia at the Economic Community of West African States in Abuja for a conference for disabilities in Weest Africa.
The Director made the disclosure yesterday when he spoke to scores of reporters during the Ministry of Information regular press briefings
He said of the key initiatives he underscored for disabilities in collaboration with the National Elections Commission to design programs relating to elections for disabilities.
Meanwhile, Ethiopia’s former Prime Minister, Weleegheh Nicholas, has expressed interest in working with Liberia National Commission of Disabilities ( NCD), adding that Liberia and Ethiopia have a long historic tie.
Mr. Weeleegheh said working with Liberia on the initiatives outlined would serve as a strong pillar for growth.
The Ethiopian former PM disclosed that he intends to start his organization in Liberia to help less fortunate people, especially for women and people living with disabilities.
