For his part, the Head of the Task Force for combating illegal mining in Liberia, Abraham Kromah cautioned the public to be cognizant of the laws that govern the mining sectors, as he reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting the country natural resources irrespective of personality or title and background.

Col. Kromah warned individuals who are involved with illegal mining activities across the country, stressing that when caught, violators will face the full weight of the law.

He, at the same time encouraged Liberians to raise alarms when there is any act of illegal mining activities, and they should avoid being used as an eye or cover-up for people who are damaging the growth and development of the country.
