Mr. George Solo, senior diplomatic staff serving at the Liberian Mission to Italy died on board Royal Air Morac upon arrival at the JFK Airport in New York, the United States of America, family sources have confirmed.
According to the family sources, Flight AT200 took Mr. Solo from Morocco to the United States, but died under circumstances still unknown.
A founding member and former National Chairman of the former ruling Coalition for Democratic Change, Mr. Solo was a prominent Liberian political figure.
Unverified reports say the late Solo suffered multiple and severe medical complications on board the flight that he succumbed to despite intervention by medical professionals, who were also on board the flight.
