President Joseph Nyumah Boakai has extended Eid Message to all Muslims across Liberia, marking an end to the holy month of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
An official statement from the Executive Mansion said President Boakai conveyed heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Muslim community throughout Liberia.
“As-salamu alaykum!” the President began, addressing what he described as a joyous and spiritually significant occasion. He emphasized that Eid represents a sacred period of gratitude, reflection, sacrifice, and renewed faith, values he said are essential to Liberia’s continued pursuit of unity, peace, and national development.
He lavished praises on the Muslim community for its steadfast commitment to peace and national progress. The President praised what he says is the resilience, discipline, and contributions of Muslims to fostering stability and social harmony across the country.
“Your commitment to faith, family, and community serves as a strong pillar in building a more inclusive and united Liberia,” he noted.
Boakai also called on citizens to use the occasion as a time to remember the less fortunate.
He urged all Liberians to embrace the spirit of compassion, generosity, forgiveness, and togetherness, not only during the festive perio, but throughout the year.
As Muslims celebrate Eid in praise of Allah, the Most Compassionate and Most Merciful, President Boakai expressed hope that the occasion would bring peace to homes, strength to communities, and renewed optimism for the nation.
He concluded his message with prayers for divine blessings upon the country, wishing all Muslims a peaceful, joyous, and spiritually fulfilling Eid celebration.
“Alhamudulilahi! Allahu Akbar,” President Boakai concluded.
