IT WAS SINCE 2021 WHEN we went off the newsstand due to some unforeseen circumstances that is not worth mentioning here because that would mean mourning over spilled milk. Instead, we have put the past behind and we are now forging ahead with full speed.
BEFORE WE WENT OFF the newsstand, the reading public would attest to it that we refused to be compromised or arm-twisted in our reportorial and editorial duties. We sought all sides of a story to ensure balance and accuracy as the ethics of journalism require.
UNLIKE OTHER MEDIA houses, we have no specific interest in any political party, politician and individual, irrespective of their status in society. We are committed to telling the truth as it like it is.
OUR ONLY INTEREST IS a stable, peaceful and prosperous Liberia through the rule of law and respect for the rights of every citizen and foreign residents. A Liberia in which both citizens and foreigners alike, will coexist regardless of their tribal, religious and political affiliations.
IT IS THIS CO-VALUE that won us the Press Union of Liberia, PUL, 2006/2007 newspaper of the year award.
AS WE RETURN TO THE newsstand and here to stay, the standards we set and our editorial policies remain unchanged. However, what has changed is our editorial team, having recruited on the team a new editor-in-chief, managing editor and a new breed of experienced reporters.
WE HAVE RETURNED TO the newsstand with renewed vigor, confidence and determination to reclaim our place in the Liberian media landscape, after all, what we’ve done before, we can still do and even do better. This time around, our coverage is going to go beyond politics to include the emerging cultural and tourism industry. As much as Public Agenda will continue with social, political, and sport coverage, the added coverage of the arts, culture and tourism is welcome as a boost to our emerging creative voices in tourism, music, literature, fashion, and content creation.
LOCATED ON THE SECOND floor of the City Plaza on Carey Street in central Monrovia, our doors are opened to all Liberians and foreigners alike, including politicians, students, members of the business and diplomatic communities as well as the sports and art communities. You can also visit our web and social pages to keep abreast of the unfolding developments on both the local and international scenes.
DON’T HESITATE TO call on us in case of any news making events such as news conferences, accidents, public functions and other events worth of coverage and publication.
WE ALSO HAVE ENOUGH available space to advertise or market your products and services. In short, make the Public Agenda your partner in progress because our rates are affordable and negotiable.
