-TRUTH CRUSH THE GROUND CAN NOT BE IN HIDDEN

MOST OF US, IF NOT EVERY one, might know that drug trafficking is consequential and no one can easily get away from its consequences. Even if the deals were orchestrated and consummated in the darkest pit of hell, it must come to public attention, in as much as you have interacted with human beings.

FEW THINGS THAT ARE CURTAINED in drugs deal are, drugs dealers or cartel members come as philanthropists, they come as investors, they come with cash to buy influential people’s attention and they come to test the system of governance to know if government is mature to do due diligence by counter-checking facts about them brought on the table of dialoque.

DRUGS CARTEL MEMBERS CANNOT COME in your country without wearing the veil of deception, putting government officials under the impression of better investment package such as helping with roads connectivity, provision of water, electricity, and provision of other basic social services. But mind you, all of these negotiations must be accompanied by due diligence because they come like sheep in wolf clothes.

THE CONSEQUENCES OF DRUGS DEALING can be severe and has far-reaching effects, such as lost of good character which one might have built over the years, damage of youthful population of a nation-state, and places a taint on the image of the country, its citizens and government.

DRUGS ARE A PUNISHABLE OFFENSE under our laws and unbailable, and those caught in the web of drug trafficking are held in detention, fines, prosecuted, and even sentenced to jail if found guilty.

THE SOCIAL IMPACT OF DRUG DEALING is significant, as it can lead to increased crime rates, violence, and public safety concerns. It can also strain relationships within communities, leading to social instabilities and increased risk of addiction.

TO PREVENT DRUG INFLUX IN OUR country, we need to accept the fact that the government and its people are under the moral and statutory obligation to flush drugs out with concerted effort and not to politicize the same.

OUR NATIONAL IS AT A CROSS-ROAD with the influx of drugs. All hands are needed on the desk to ensure we emerge victorious as a nation in the fight against drug abuse.
