Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Evidence of God Foundation, EGF, Madam Tenneh Siah Jackson, has underscored the need for every child to have an opportunity to learn , grow and build a better future.

Speaking Sunday in Monrovia during the official launch of the Foundation, Madam Jackson observed that poverty, social inequality, limited educational resources and other barriers continue to prevent thousands of children from enrolling in school and remaining in school to achieving their full academic potentials.

She disclosed that the idea of her Foundation was born from witnessing the daily struggles of vulnerable and underprivileged children, whose dreams, she said,  are not limited by their abilities, but by their circumstances.

“I am a witness that access to quality education remains a significant challenge for many vulnerable and underprivileged children”, Jackson passionately said.

The EHF CEO told the audience at Sunday’s official launch that predicated upon the challenges underprivileged children face, the Evidence of Hope Foundation is established to create opportunities that would help empower indigent children through education and life skills.

“The Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that every child regardless of their socio-economic background has access to quality education and support needed to succeed, Madam Jackson said.

She said her commitment is driven by the belief that education is a fundamental human right and a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty.

Madam Jackson also said  for  her foundation to achieve its objective, she will work closely with schools, families, local communities, government institutions, development partners, and donors to identify children most in need to support them academically and provide them with life skills.

“This includes scholarships, school supplies, learning materials, mentorship and other programs that promote academic excellence, leadership and life skills”, CEO Jackson also emphasized.

She said the motto of the Evidence of Hope Foundation is ‘LOVE IS HOPE AND SMILE’.

For keynote speaker, Avenso Jackson, poverty is not simply the absence of money, but it is also the absence of choices, opportunities, confidence and hope. Mr. Jackson said when a child grows up without access to education, life skills, mentorship and vocational training, the cycle of poverty continues from one generation to another.

“The encouraging truth is poverty is not destiny. With the right support, children can re-write their stories,” Jackson noted.

He delivered his keynote speech on the topic, ‘the power of love and hope in transforming the lives of vulnerable and underprivileged children’.

Mr. Jackson also said love is the foundation of transformation. “Genuine love moves beyond sympathy. It inspires action, it motivates us to invest our time, resources and talents in the lives of children who need us. Love tells every child, ‘you matter. You are valued. Your future is worth investing in,” he also emphasized.

He said breaking the cycle of poverty requires collective efforts, adding that governments have the responsibility to create supportive policies and invest in quality education. Rev. Father Donyen Topor, the second, Parish Priest of the St. Patrick’s Parish in Grandcess, Grand Kru County, cut the ribbon during the official launch of the Evidence of God Foundation founded on December 7, 2024.
