Chocolate City and Day Break Mouth Open Community Chairman, George T. Freeman, has alarmed over what he says is the refusal of Montserrado County District-13 Representative in the Legislature, Edward P. Flomo, to work with him.

Mr. Freeman quoted Representative Flomo, a member of the former ruling CDC, as saying that because he, Freeman, is a member of the ruling Unity Party of President Joseph Boakai, he cannot work with him.

Freeman said since his election as community chairman in May 2022, his office has been opened to Representative Flomo, but the Lawmaker maintains that he cannot work with him.

The Chocolate City and Daybreak Community Chairman also alleged that Representative Flomo is undertaking some development projects across the District, but has allegedly excluded the Chocolate City Community,

“He turns down every invitation I sent him whenever there is an event or a program in the Chocolate City because he says I am a Unity Party partisan,” Freeman said in an exclusive interview with this Paper.

Chairman Freeman said the Chocolate City Community that he heads as Community Chairman is the largest amongst thirty eight communities in the Montserrado County District-13.

Freeman said since his election as chairman of the Community, transparency and accountability has been the hallmark of his leadership.

He has at the same time denied claims that he is hijacking the community chairmanship in the District, adding that the allegation is false, misleading and far from the reality.
