-Alex Geeplay of Montserrado District-13
Ahead of the 2029 general and presidential elections, Mr. Alexander Geeplay, a resident of Montserrado County District-13, has declared his intention to contest the District’s seat in the House of Representatives of the Liberian Legislature.
Mr. Geeplay told journalists recently in the District that, he wants to represent the District in the Legislature to redeem the residents from what he says is the leadership deficit of current representative, Edward P. Flomo.
Geeplay said his desire to contest the District’s seat in the Legislature is triggered by Representative Flomo’s under-representation of the Montserrado District-13.
He said prior to the declaration of his intention, citizens of the District had already petitioned him four different times.
Geeplay further told reporters that since he was petitioned by the citizens or district residents, his team, the G-4 Movement, has undertaken many development projects in the Montserrado District-13, the same District in which the Chocolate City and Daybreak Community Chairman, Freeman said current District Representative in the Legislature, Edward Flomo, is also undertaking development projects.
Geeplay named the installation of solar lights and the initiation of a loan program as some the projects he’s undertaking to help improve the lives of people of the District.
Geeplay said his G-4 Movement is also buttressing the Government’s efforts by providing scholarships to needy students across the Montserrado County District-13, adding that he is not coming into politics to enrich himself, but because the residents of the District deserve a better leadership development and progress.
He is asking residents of the District to rally round him democratically unseat the current Representative, Flomo.
Geeplay said he will be contesting as an independent candidate in 2029.
He concluded by asking the Boakai and Koon administration to bring to book those individuals allegedly linked to 19.2 M dollars drugs scandal.
