EARLY JUNE, A MAJOR DRUG bust was discovered by the LDEA through the help of the foreign Intelligent service according to the Sahara reports on narcotics substances. To face the fact, the LDEA does not muster the courage to uncover the drugs scandal, but they were compelled by the foreign intelligence (Americans) to make the full disclosure. Unfortunately, the LDEA had allegedly under stated the value of the drugs to 19.2 Million, instead of 50 Million.

AN ANALYSIS OF THE SAHARAA Investigative report on what it terms as $50M cocaine scandal named several persons with in the Executive Branch as suspects that should be investigated.

Even though the LDEA is holding back the names of the alleged suspects that are link to the alleged US$50 Million drugs deal.

THOSE MENTIONED IN THE Sahara report allegedly are, the Son of President Joseph Boakai, Tantan Boakai, the Senior political Advisor to the President and wife of the Speaker, MacDalla Cooper.

Other high-profile suspects are the Police Inspector General, Gergory Coleman, Special Envoy to the President and friend of Tantan Boakai, Mohammed Bah, A top Nigerian Business man, Chris Olenoga, among other.

IMMEDIATELY UPON PUBLICATION OF THESE names, the President should do the needful by suspending these persons and subject them to investigation by an independent and neutral body, comprises of The Press Union of Liberia, National Bar Association, Civil Society Network, and other independent bodies. The homes of these suspects should be searched.  

MR. PRESIDENT, ABSOLUTELY THERE is no need to protect these people because their greed for power and wealth cannot drag your government into confidence crisis with our international partners, especially our traditional friend and ally, the United of America.

We all have pledged by peaceful protest in the streets that drug has not place in our country, unfortunately, the same people who claimed to be fighting drugs, are the ones be mentioned in the recent drugs bust.
