The pending 2029 legislative and presidential elections have begun the worry of many politicians, some of whom have become overnight humanitarians and philanthropists.
In Grand Kru County, Senator Numene Bartekwa and senatorial aspirant, John Chea, are embroiled in a struggle for the citizens’ support in 2029.
Barely a week after Chea gave 700 thousand Liberian dollars in support of Grand Kru students sitting the WAEC exams, incumbent Senator; Numene Bartekwa has also given $ 400 thousand Liberian Dollars as his support to the Grand Kru students.
The donations, reports say, are intended to pay for the students feeding and transport fares as students reportedly walk many miles away from their homes to sit the public exams.
The County Education officer (CEO) received the funds on behalf of the beneficiary schools.
