Peter Teah is being investigated by traditional leaders in Bolloh Doeswen Town, Grand Kru County District-2, on allegation of assaulting his girlfriend only identified as M.A.J. Peter, the reports say, is originally from Nimba County.
Residents said Peter’s alleged act drew the concerns of others, who ensured that he was arrested and arraigned before the traditional authorities.
Residents said the accused has on multiple occasions subjected his girlfriend to physical abuse and inflicted wounds on her, claiming the attention of neighbors, who have described his alleged action as a daily routine.
It is also reported that traditional leaders in the Bolloh Doeswen Town are gathering statements and eyewitnesses’ accounts to further press charges against the accused.
Peter’s alleged brutality against his girlfriend, according to the reports, has become a topical issue for discussion amongst residents of the Grand Kru County District-2, who are calling for a drastic action against the accused if proven guilty to serve as deterrence.
As of the time of this report, traditional authorities had not announced an official decision, and the investigation is still ongoing.
