The mother of a 15‑year‑old boy, who was allegedly sodomized by former senior National Security Agency agent, Peter Bon Jallah, has broken silence, accusing the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection of abandoning her son and leaving both of them exposed to violence and intimidation.

“The Ministry of Gender has failed me. It has abandoned the child with me,” the distraught mother told reporters.

She said the child is no longer at a safe home after the Gender Ministry had promised to have taken care of him by providing protection and shelter.

The child was reported to have been sexually abused by a young man known as Peter Bono Jallah, not former Minister of Justice, Peter Bono Jallah during the regime of former President, Charles Ghankay Taylor.

The aggrieved mother said her son was taken to an orphanage home and not a safe home as the as the Ministry Gender had promised.

She is calling for justice in the matter no matter who is involved, adding that her son needs urgent medical care.
