-Cllr. Kanneh Says It Is A ‘Big Lie’

The Public Agenda is hearing that what was expected to be a peaceful senior management staff meeting at the National Social Security and Welfare Corporation, NASSCORP, eventually erupted into commotion last week when emotions flared up between Managing Director, Dewitt Von Ballmoss and his principal Deputy, Cllr. Moifee Kanneh, creating a scene that bewildered employees.

The reports quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the meeting turned into a shouting match when Deputy Director General, Kanneh, allegedly accused his boss, Managing Director, Von Ballmoos, of financial improprieties at the Corporation.

The reports also quoted insiders as saying that Cllr. Kanneh has got the backing of other senior officials of the Corporation, who also believe that Managing Director Von Ballmoos is engaged in financial mal-practices.

Deputy Director Kanneh, the reports also said, accused Von Ballmoos of the misuse of pension funds and is engaged in questionable procurement dealings.

Director General Von Ballmoos has reportedly denied the reports and said they are false and politically motivated.

Mr. Von Ballmoos, the reports also indicated, has disclosed that NASSCORP’s financial operations are routinely audited and challenged his accusers to present any evidence through the appropriate legal channels.

Meanwhile, Deputy NASSCORP Director General, Cllr. Moifee Kanneh, in a rather angry tone, similarly told this Paper when contacted by telephone, that the reports are a blatant lie and are the work of individuals he referred to as blackmailers or extortionists.

Cllr. Kanneh said contrary to the reports, at no time has any commotion or misunderstanding erupted at any senior management staff meeting NASSCORP.

“I will take legal action against anyone, who lies on me,” Cllr. Kanneh angrily concluded.
