CITIZENS STILL DRINK FROM CREEKS AND UNTREATED WELLS

“My name is Hawa Sabula, we still drinking from the the creek and untreated wells, because this community has no hand pump".

A lady spoke to our reporter in the Isaac Monluba town, upper Monserrado County, Electoral District #1.

 

She said, Liberian government has forgotten them, the only time, according to her,  they see them coming is during campaign season".

During the rainy season, according to her there is serious cholera epidemic that in many instances lead to the death of many persons.

Isaac Moluba town is located in District # 1, Montserrado County.

The lady said drinking from creek water carries significant health risks due to invisible contaminants.

Ma. Hawa maintains that untreated water often leads to waterborne illnesses, causing severe diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, and dehydration.

"To ensure your safety, it is always best to filter, treat, or boil natural water before consumption" she noted.

She concluded that the dangers of drinking untreated creek water stem from a variety of microscopic hazards.

In conclusion used the occasion to call on the government to look in their direction.
