- Several Injured In Land Dispute

Several persons were reportedly injured  in land dispute amongst  citizens of Kumah, Zaybay and Gborlu Towns in Grand Gedeh County.

The reports say the Police detachment in the County has arrested and detained individuals suspected of fueling the violence that resulted into the injuries.

The number of arrests and severity of the injuries are still unknown, but the Police said those arrested bare the greatest responsibility of the violence.

Among the injured were Sunday Shilue and a resident identified as Beechee, both of Zaybay Town, according to local sources.

Authorities have confirmed that the suspects are still in the Police custody for questioning as investigations continue.

Local officials described the incident as part of recurring land disputes in Grand Gedeh County’s electoral  District 2, where boundary and ownership claims had previously triggered conflict among communities.

Authorities urged residents to remain calm and channel their grievances through legal and administrative processes.
